Our goal at Duke City DocFest is to become one of North America’s premiere international documentary film festivals. The festival takes place each year in Albuquerque, New Mexico immediately following the city’s world renowned Hot Air Balloon Festival. Screening venues include the KiMo (650 seat) and El Ray (750 seat) theatres located in the heart of Albuquerque’s entertainment district and at the edge of historic “Old Town.” Santa Fe and the majestic Sangra de Cristo Mountains are just a 40 minutes drive or an hour by rail. New Mexico is now rated third behind New York and California as one of America’s best venues for filmmaking.
