John Travolta mourned the death of his Grease co-star Olivia Newton-John on Monday, remembering the singer and actress as someone who “made all of our lives so much better.”

The “Hopelessly Devoted to You” singer died this morning at her ranch in Southern California, according to her husband John Easterling, who announced her death. She was 73.

“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better. Your impact was incredible. I love you so much,” Travolta wrote in a heartfelt post on his Instagram on Monday. “We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”

The English-Australian singer and actress had a string of hit songs beyond her Grease success, including “I Honestly Love You,” which won her two Gramys, and “Have You Never Been Mellow.”

She also starred in films including 1980’s Xanadu and 1983’s Two of a Kind, again opposite Travolta.

“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer,” Easterling wrote in the announcement.

He also added that Newton-John is survived by her daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall.

Other stars mourned the loss of Newton-John on Monday, including Mia Farrow, James Gunn, Star Trek‘s George Takei, Lost’s Daniel Dae Kim, Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown, and Marlee Matlin, who worked with Newton-John on the 1996 drama It’s My Party.

“We have lost a great, iconic artist in Olivia [Newton-John], gone too soon from us at age 73. I trust she is now in the great Xanadu beyond,” Takei tweeted. “Know that we are forever hopelessly devoted to you, Olivia. Rest in song and mirth.”

“I’m done guys. Heartbroken doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it,” Brown wrote. “I ADORED her.”

“Farewell with love to the legend who will forever be my first crush,” wrote Kim.

Director James Gunn also said she was his first crush.

“Really sad to hear about the passing of Olivia Newton-John. My first real crush as a kid,” he wrote. “I loved Grease & her music & I coincidentally also bought & lived in for a while the wonderful home she built in Malibu. May she Rest In Peace.”
