2024 Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade — Chinese New Year In Hong Kong

Kick off Chinese New Year 2024 with a bang at the Cathay International CNY Night Parade. This year, Year of the Dragon, is extra special: in Chinese culture, the dragon symbolises nobility, good fortune and vitality. Expect a procession of floats to spread auspiciousness and luck across Tsim Sha Tsui. We’re especially excited to see a variety of Hong Kong’s ethnicities and communities represented.
The parade will start with an opening ceremony at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza and the first float and performing group will arrive on Canton Road around 8:30pm. You can buy tickets for spectator stands, with various zone options — ticketing opens Saturday, 27 January at 8pm, on a first-come, first-served basis.
You can also find somewhere along the parade route to view for free. Spectator-friendly spots without cost along the parade route will include Canton Road, Haiphong Road and Nathan Road — make sure to look at the parade route map!
